Youth Hockey: Squirts upend visitors

Louis Nardis scored three goals and added an assist Sunday as the Pall Trinity Micro-Heritage Realty of Central New York Squirt Snowbelt youth hockey team beat visiting Camillus I, 5-3.
Elisabeth Evans had a goal and two assists and Izaiah Taylor one goal for the winners, with goalie Brandon Ludwig making 12 saves.
The Cort-Lanes/Grand Rental Station/A&W squad was a 5-3 winner over host Camillus. Mitch Riter scored twice for the Cortland club, Andrew Partigianoni, Hannah Partigianoni and Dillon Skinner with one goal each. Hannah Partigianoni’s goal, with three minutes left in the game, broke a 3-3 tie and Skinner added a late insurance tally. Adam Howser made 23 saves in the locals’ nets.
Cortland tied host Skaneateles 3-3 on Saturday as Zavien Rosato scored twice and Adam Jubran once, goalies Zach Wilhoit and P.J. Shager with 10 and 11 saves, respectively.
Rosato scored three goals in a 6-4 loss to visiting Rome on Sunday, Sammy Robbins with the other goal. Shager made 13 saves and Wilhoit stopped six shots.
In a late report from Dec. 26, Cortland lost 5-0 to the host Camillus Wildcats Squirts.
The host Economy Paving team lost 1-0 to the Binghamton Senator Pee Wees Sunday despite 20 saves from goalie Ryan Gabriel. The visitors’ Pete Kelly scored the only goal with 1:01 left.
