ANECELLE — Stephen A.“Flipper”Anecelle, 56, of Cortland, N.Y.,  died Dec. 26, 2007, at Cortland Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
BEAM — Betty C. Beam, 82, of Ogden Road, Groton, N.Y., died Dec. 31, 2007. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. at Zirbel Funeral Home, 115 Williams St., Groton, on Sunday, with the Pastor Carolyn McPherson officiating. Spring interment will be in the family plot in the Caroline Cemetery.
EDSALL — Robbie Marian Edsall, 57, formerly of Lapeer, N.Y., died Jan 2, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at New Life Community Church, 1417 Riverside Drive, Asheville, N.C.
TABONE — Dianne K. Tabone, 64, of Cortland, N.Y., died Jan. 17, 2008 in Inverness, Fla. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home.

IRVING — To Michael and Julianne Shorrock Irving, 41 Danville Road, Kingston, N.H., a son, Parker William, 7 lbs. 9 oz., Dec. 21, 2007, in Newburyport, Mass. The father is a former Summerhill resident.
JACK — To Derek Jack and Kristen Turshman, 985 Fish Hill Road, Marathon, N.Y., a son, Garett Waylon, 8 lbs. 10 oz., Jan. 10, 2008.

 

DeVOE — Rosamond B. ‘Rosie’ DeVoe, 64, of 1 Suits Ave., Homer, N.Y., died Jan. 16, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 N. Main St., Homer, with the Rev. Allan J. Ferguson officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
GOULD— Barbara A. Gould, 70, of Denver, Pa., died Jan. 15, 2008. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday from Bethany Grace Fellowship, 400 Reading Road, East Earl, Pa., with a viewing from 1 to 3 p.m.
MARIN — Charles R. Marin, 71, of Cortland, N.Y., died Jan. 12, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours or funeral service. The Wright-Beard Funeral Home served the family.

BUFF — Dean Mitchell Buff, 41, formerly of Cortland, N.Y., died Jan. 10, 2008. Dean’s services will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home in Whitney Point from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday.
LAMBERT — Doris B. Lambert, 89, of Cuyler, N.Y., died Jan. 14, 2008, at Cortland Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cuyler United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Cortland Street, DeRuyter.

LOCKE — Alice M. Locke, 75, formerly of Richford, N.Y., died Jan. 12, 2008. A celebration of Alice’s life and a time of sharing memories will be held on Saturday from 10 to noon at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. A luncheon and period of fellowship will be held at noon at 539 Michigan Hill Road, Richford. Donations may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation or to Multiple Sclerosis.

WURST — To Jeffrey Wurst and Deanna Morey-Wurst, 802 Pheasant Run, Cortlandville, N.Y., a daughter, Abigail Jane, 8 lbs. 3 oz., Jan. 9, 2008, in Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, N.Y.

 

FITZPATRICK — Alan R. FitzPatrick, 57, of Virgil, N.Y., died Jan. 13, 2008, after a courageous battle with melanoma. Services are at 1 p.m. on Friday in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home.
GNATYUK — Anastasiya Gnatyuk, 85, of Cortland N.Y., died Jan. 14, 2008, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Ukrainian Pentacostal Church, McLean Road, Cortland. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be 3-5 p.m. Wednesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home.
PARKER — Ira Floyd Parker, 87, of Marathon, N.Y., died Jan 13, 2008, at home.  Calling hours will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday at Marathon Presbyterian Church with a memorial service and Masonic service immediately following at 7. A fireman’s service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Private interment will be at Parker Street Cemetery in Lapeer.
REYNOLDS — Nancy E. Reynolds, 71, of Willet, N.Y., passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, with her family by her side. There will be no services or calling hours.

BEANE — Beverly Lincoln Beane, 76, died Jan. 12, 2008, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Va. Services will be held in New York at a later date. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
CANFIELD — Elma R. (Sis) Canfield, 48, of 364 Central Chapel Road, Brooktondale, N.Y., died Jan. 13, 2008. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The First Presbyterian Church of Dryden with the Rev. David C. Robinson officiating. Burial will be private in Garrett Mandeville Cemetery, West Slaterville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden.
EIPP — Margaret Louise Eipp, 93, of Hayesville, N.C., and formerly of Dryden and Cortland, N.Y., died Jan. 11, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
HOLBERT — William T. Holbert, 87, of Cortland, N.Y., died Jan. 12, 2008. There will be no calling hours. A military service will be held at West Point later in the year.

PACE — Myra M. Pace, 83, of McGraw, N.Y., died Jan. 13, 2008, after a lengthy illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Kaminski serving as celebrant. Prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Riccardi Funeral Home, 69 N. Main St., Cortland.
RILEY — Mrs. Lila M. (Butts) Riley, 85, of New Hartford, N.Y., died Jan. 11, 2008, at the St. Luke’s Home where she currently resided. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the EannaceFuneral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave., Utica. Lila’s funeral service will commence at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday from the funeral home and at 11:30 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish, 648 Jay St., Utica, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
