Radisson golf post for Wells
Homer Central graduate Martha Wells has a prestigious new job in the golf world, hired as the professional at the Radisson Greens in Baldwinsville.
Wells will oversee all golf operations at the renowned Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed course located within the Radisson Community. She will also operate her own golf concession at the Radisson Greens pro shop with a line of equipment and apparel for sale.Prior to joining Radisson Greens, Wells gained experience as the assistant professional at several noted facilities all over the continent. Most recently, she spent seven years at the semi-private Medicine Hat Golf & Country Club in Alberta, Canada.
Wells worked three and a half years at the Phoenix Country Club in Arizona, a place Golf Connoisseur Magazine rated among Top 100 most prestigious private clubs in America. Wells worked two years at Desert Forest Golf Club in Aridona, which was one of Golf Digest’s “Best
100 Courses in America” every year except one since the magazine’s rankings began 41 years ago.
Wells worked four years at the five-star Phoenician Golf Resort in Scottsdale and a year at Estes Park Golf Course in Estes Park, Colo.
Wells has held Professional Golfers’ Association status in Canada and in America. In 2008 she won the Alberta Provincial Women’s Professional Championship.
From 2007-08 she served as a golf coach for the Medicine Hat College varsity team and in 1997 and 2000 she was a member of the Heather Farr Memorial professional team.
