Clean weekend Pee Wee sweep
The Heritage Realty Pee Wee Snowbelt youth hockey team won all three of its games over the weekend, 5-4 at Onondaga and 5-2 against visiting Corning on Saturday and 5-2 against visiting Lysander on Sunday.
Sammy Robbins scored four goals and added an assist and Louis Nardis had a goal and two assists against Onondaga, goalie Brandon Ludwig with 21 saves. Nate Evans led the way against Corning with four goals, while Drew Bilodeau scored once. Ludwig stopped 25 more shots.
Evans scored twice and had an assist while Nardis had two goals and Liam Chase a goal and an assist against Lysander, Ludwig with four saves as the winners had a 33-6 shot advantage.
PEE WEE TRAVEL
Host Cortland beat Ithaca 7-3 on Saturday as Trevor Jubran had two goals and an assist, Adam Jubran two goals, Jake Prunier and Jackson Brazo a goal and an assist apiece and Jonathon Frederick one goal. Ludwig stopped 23 shots.
Adam Jubran had both goals in a 10-2 loss to visiting Camillus on Sunday, Ludwig with 16 saves.
Cortland beat host Binghamton 7-4 on Saturday as Dante Patriarco led the way with four goals and two assists. Nick Gravel had two goals and two assists and Dakota Ayer a goal and two assists, while goalie Riley Delage made 16 saves.
Gravel and Patriarco each scored twice in an 8-6 loss to visiting Elmira on Sunday, Ayer and Kevin Gardner a goal apiece and Delage with 24 saves.
The Brainfreeze Madness/Izzy’s Custom Cuts Red team went 2-1-1 over the weekend in the Oswego Mite Invitational Tournament. Andrew Partigianoni and Braden Marsh each scored a goal and goalie Garret Clark stopped 18 shots Friday night in a 5-2 loss to Whitestown.
Mitch Riter scored four goals and Logan Goodman, Tucker Gabriel and Partigianoni one each in a 7-3 win over Lysander on Saturday, Clark with five saves. Cortland lost in a shootout to Fulton later on Saturday after a 3-3 tie and failed to make the semifinals. Partigianoni’s goal with six seconds left in regulation tied it. Mitch Riter with the assist. Partigianoni also had another goal and Marsh scored once while Clark stopped 13 shots.
Riter had three goals in an 8-3 win over Lysander in the consolation round, Partigianoni with two goals and Gabriel, Aiden Villnave and Marsh with one each.
The Traver Millwork White team took second in its division at Oswego, with neither individual game results or the overall record reported.
Against Watertown in the opener, Benjamin McGrath, Jacob Couture, Rowen Dankert, Ryan Spaulding, Rebecca Cain and Hunter Everle had the goals, goalie Andrew Kristof with five saves. Everle, Couture, Padraic Andrews and Cain scored against Valley, Kristof stopping 10 shots. Couture, Cain, Andrews and McGrath scored and Kristof made nine saves against North Franklin.
The goal-scorers against Oswego were Everle, Couture and Dankert, while Kristof made nine saves. Cain and McGrath scored in the last game, against Valley, and Kristof turned aside 12 shots.
Fire On Ice Tourney
The 12th annual Fire On Ice Mite tournament will take place Friday through Sunday at the J.M. McDonald Sport Complex, with 22 teams from around Central New York competing and free admission for spectators. The games will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, the final game set for Sunday at 3 p.m.
