SOPP — Victoria M. Awad Sopp, 78, of Westvale, N.Y., died March 31, 2009. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 4988 Onondaga Road. SPACE — Robert Edward Space, 70, of 597 McLean Road, Cortland, N.Y., died April 1, 2009, at University Hospital, Syracuse. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. HOFFMAN — Helen W. Hoffman, 86, of Moravia, N.Y., died April 1, 2009, in the Howd Nursing Home, Moravia, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wade Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Moravia. Burial will be in the Baker Cemetery, Moravia. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral service.
MARONEY — Donna Lee (Burmester) Maroney, 59, of Cortland, N.Y., died March 31, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn, after a lengthy illness. Friends may call at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday. After a procession by her home, a graveside ceremony will be held at the Cincinnatus Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

CANNON — Robert A. Cannon, 64, of East Freetown, N.Y., passed away March 30, 2009. At Robert’s request, there will be no services.
HALLOCK — Paul L. Hallock, 78, of 3690 Pine Hill Road, Marathon, N.Y., died March 30, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Burial with military honors will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Marathon Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

BROOKHOUSE — Jack Brookhouse, 87, formerly of Freeville, N.Y., died March 22, 2009. A memorial service will be held at the Freeville United Methodist Church, Main St., Freeville at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
KILMER — Dorr Lestner Kilmer, 90, a longtime resident of Homer and Cortland, N.Y., died March 29, 2009. Arrangements are being made through H.P. Smith & Son of Woodhull, N.Y. A memorial service and funeral are planned for April 18, in Woodhull, and interment will be at Woodhull Cemetery.
SHERMAN — Shirley A. Sherman, 79, of Summerfield, Fla., and formerly of East Homer, N.Y., died March 28, 2009. Arrangements will be announced at a later date.

MATHEWS — David Samuel Mathews, 69, of Cortland, N.Y., died March 27, 2009, from heart failure after years of severe respiratory problems. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Homer Avenue Methodist Church, Cortland. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery in Preble. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday prior to the services at church.
SNELL — Earl Snell, 68, of Ramah, Colo., died March 18, 2009. Earl will be laid to rest in the spring with a full military service at the convenience of the family in the Cortland Rural Cemetery.
STEVENS — Mrs. Norma Frances Steele Stevens, 92, died March 28, 2009, at the Van Duyn Home, Syracuse, N.Y. A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin.
