SYKES — Malcolm B. Sykes, 76, husband of Elaine L. (Mules) Sykes, of Staunton, Va., died April 1, 2010, at his residence. A memorial service will be conducted May 8, 2010, at the residence.

GROBLENY — Evelyn Pearl “Grandma” Grobelny, 97, of Locke, N.Y., died April 5, 2010, at the Howd Nursing Home, Moravia after a long illness. A celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Wade Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Moravia. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Bird Cemetery, Locke.

MEYER — Phyllis H. Meyer, 73, of 1451 Carter-Slocum Road, Marathon, N.Y., died April 6, 2010, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
REILLY — James F. Reilly, 90, of Marathon, N.Y., died April 6, 2010. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen’s Church, Marathon. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorn. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at A.C. Baker and Son Funeral Home, 26 Main St., Marathon.

BUSH — Judith Evans Bush, 71, of Sunset Drive, Homer, N.Y., died April 4, 2010. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland. Interment will follow in the Cortland Rural Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
MARANO — Michael Marano, 76, died April 5, 2010. Everyone who wishes to help remember Mike is welcome to join his family at the Whitney Point American Legion at 4 p.m. Friday.
McDERMOTT — Marcia Spaeth McDermott, 81, of Brevard, N.C., and formerly of Cortland, N.Y., died March 30, 2010. No services are planned.
STEPHENS — Albert L. Stephens, 70, of Florida, formerly of Marathon, died April 6, 2010, in Port Orange, Fla. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Wright-Beard Funeral Home.

GIFFORD — Leslie P. Gifford, 61, of McLean, N.Y., died April 5, 2010. A party in honor of Leslie P. will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the McLean Fire Station.
