MAXSON — Charlotte A. Maxson, 77, of Cortland, N.Y., died April 22, 2010, at the Friendship House. A private service will be at Briggs Hall Memorial Home, Homer. Burial service will be held at McGraw Cemetery.
SWEET — Howard D. Sweet, 86, of Sennett, N.Y., died April 22, 2010, at home after a long battle with cancer. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrews Methodist Church, Mottville.

COLVIN — Joseph H. Colvin, 81, of Homer, N.Y., died April 21, 2010. In accordance with Joe’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

BEAM — Shirley D. Beam, 75, died April 11, 2010, after succumbing to an acute illness. Services will be held 7 p.m. Saturday at the Marathon Presbyterian Church.
RIVENBURGH — Catherine W. Rivenburgh, 86, of Groton, N.Y., died April 21, 2010, at Groton Community Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the funeral home.

CULVER — Walter W. Culver died April 19, 2010. Friends may call at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday followed by a funeral service. A small reception will be held at the home of John and Christine Leyburn after the services.

XENAKIS — Geneveve “Zenovia” Xenakis, 97, of Cortland, N.Y. died April 18, 2010, after a brief illness. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Zirbel Funeral Home, 115 Williams St., Groton. A celebration of her life will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home

ANDREWS — Edward Andrews, 89, of Cortland, N.Y., died April 16, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery immediately following. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to services.
McKAY — Ronnie L. McKay, 69, of Groton, N.Y., died March 11, 2010. Spring interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the McLean Cemetery. Zirbel Funeral Home, 115 Williams St., Groton, has care of arrangements.
