Two wins snared by Woodman’s

Tom Cullip hit a pair of doubles in each game as Woodman’s Pub picked up two wins on a soggy Saturday of Jim Partigianoni Coed Softball League games.
Woodman’s defeated Paddy’s Pub 16-8 in the first game before scoring a 14-2 win over Red Jug Pub in a five-inning second contest. In other games, Gator’s Tavern posted a 16-4 win over DA’s Yankees and DA’s Yankees doubled up ABL Lumber 10-5
Woodman’s Pub 16, Paddy’s Pub 8: Cullip was 3-for-4 in this game as Woodman’s broke open a 6-5 game with back-to-back five-runs bursts in the bottom of the third and fourth innings. K. Lewis was also 3-for-4 while S. Lewis went 2-for-3 with a double. D. Phillips chipped in with a double and triple.
P. Carrier led Paddy’s Pub by going 3-for-3 with a double and triple. R. Walker helped out with a 2-for-2 effort with E. Comptois and R. Bakos each swinging 2-for-3 bats.
Woodman’s Pub 14, Red Jug Pub 2: T. Hubbard and C. Russell each went 3-for-3 in this rain-shortened contest as Woodman’s completed its Saturday sweep. Cullip was 2-for-3 with the two doubles. G. Talbot, S. Lewis and D. Phillips each added 2-for-3 efforts with one double while C. Talbot was also 2-for-3.
B. Frost and T, Carr went 1-for-2 with a double for Red Jug Pub. J. Goodband and N. Herns were also 1-for- 2.
Gator’s 16, DA’s Yankees 2: Bill Decker was 3-for-4 with a double, grand-slam home run and five RBIs as Gator’s pulled away in the late innings. Chris Beattie added a three-run triple to the winning Gator’s attack.
Ryan Gross went 2-for-3 to lead DA’s Yankees with Bethany Stiles belting a double.
