EAKIN — Margaret (Atwood) Eakin, 57, of Canton, Ohio, died June 8, 2009. The funeral was held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Canton, Ohio, on June 12. A memorial service will be held at the Sempronius Fire Department Building (located on 41A) Wednesday at 6 p.m. Following the service you are invited to a pot luck dinner, where fond memories may be shared with the family.
STALEY — Douglas C. Staley, 60, of 3890 Route 11, Cortland, N.Y., died June 25, 2009, at his home after a brief illness. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday in St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. Prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home 69 N. Main St., Cortland.
THOMPSON — Dolores “Dee” I. Thompson, 78, formerly of Homer, N.Y., died, June 24, 2009, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a long courageous battle with cancer. Calling hours will be held 5-7 p.m. today at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Sat. at Glenwood Cemetery.

COON — Thomas J. Coon, 48, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Cortland, N.Y., died June 22, 2009, in Florida. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., is assisting the family.
NEFF — Louise E. Neff, 91, of Clinton Avenue, Cortland, N.Y., died June 11, 2009, at Cortland Regional Medical Center. Services are private and in the care of the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Fort Myers, Fla.

OCHS — Clarence W. Ochs, 84, of Gracie Road, Cortland, N.Y., died June 23, 2009, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 N. Main St., Homer. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
QUINN — Raymond T. Quinn, 67, of Liverpool, N.Y., died June 13, 2009. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday at Liverpool First United Methodist Church. There will be no calling hours.
RUTHIG — Edgar J. Ruthig, 91, died June 21, 2009, following a brief illness. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, July 13, at the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca, 315 N. Cayuga Street, Ithaca.

COCHRAN — a son, Rowan Louis, 7 lbs. 13 oz., June 4, 2009, to Ryan Cochran and Rebecca Bergman, 3760 Clinton St., Ext., McGraw, N.Y.
DALTON — a daughter, Lilian Maria, 6 lbs. 10 oz., April 24, 2009, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, N.Y., to Brian and Erin Alden Dalton, 16 Hyatt St., Cortland, N.Y.
DITTMANN — a son, Kamdyn Thaylan, 7 lbs. 15 oz., April 9, 2009, to Rob Dittmann and Amber Stevens, 9 Water St., Apt. B, Homer, N.Y.
FRANCO — a daughter, Julia Elizabeth, 7 lbs. 3 oz., May 26, 2009, in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, N.Y., to Brad and Meg Jackson Franco, 520 Fellows Ave., Syracuse, N.Y. The parents are former Cortland residents.
MASON — a son, Bryce William, 8 lbs., May 29, 2009, in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, N.Y., to Chad and Sheena Thilburg Mason, 6960 Scott Gulf Road, Moravia, N.Y.
WEBSTER — a daughter, Alison Lee Plumley, 7 lbs. 7 oz., June 12, 2009, to Nicholas Webster and Deidre Plumley, 70 Elm St., Apt. 2, Cortland, N.Y.

PECK — Martha M. Peck, 70, of Locke, N.Y., died June 22, 2009, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a short illness. A celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Groton Community Church. A time for fellowship and refreshments will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the services.

ADAMS — Clara F. Adams, 75, of Groton, N.Y., died June 20, 2009 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Ave., Groton. Inter- ment will follow in Bird Cemetery, Locke. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Wednesday.
DORAN
— Elizabeth E. Doran, 90, died June 20, 2009 at the Cortland Care Center. A memorial service will be held noon Thursday, at Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
