Division leaders toppled by Easy Street/Choppers

Easy Street/Stupid Choppers handed Tioga Hardwood/Cutia’s Auto its first loss in nine games this season, scoring a 9-8 win over the Cortland Women’s Slowpitch League E Division softball leaders.
Dark Horse (7-2) pulled to within a game of first by scoring five runs in the bottom of an extra eighth inning to beat The Tavern/Home-Cort Advantage 9-8, while in the night’s other E Division contest Ho-Beau’s/Doug’s Fish Fry was a 23-4 winner over Ivan’s/Dave’s Auto.
In the C Division, Paddy’s Pub remained perfect after eight games with a 16-4 win over’s Pizza while Franklin Rock/Central City was a 7-3 winner over Hairy Tony’s and Red Jug Pub downed Gator’s Tavern/Cortland Self-Storage 15-9.
One Cent Saloon withstood a seven-run seventh inning by Night Owls to score a 12-11 win in the D Division, where Deli Downtown shaded Homer Logging 8-7. There was no report on the Palm Gardens-Brix game.
Easy Street/Stupid Choppers 9, Tioga Hardwood/Cutia’s Auto 8: Michaela Sharak tripled and Melissa Morgan doubled in the first inning for the winners, while Heather Neadom had a double in the third. Jackie Markhoff was the winning pitcher, with no further information available.
Dark Horse 9, The Tavern/Home-Cort Advantage 8, 8 innings: The two teams matched two-run fourth and sixth innings, and after The Tavern/Home-Cort Advantage scored four runs in the top of the eighth Dark Horse went one better in the bottom of the inning. Jamie Reynolds went 3-for-4 and Kelli Griswold doubled twice for the winners, while Staci Schafer tripled in the losing effort.
Ho-Beau’s/Doug’s Fish Fry 23, Ivan’s/Dave’s Auto 4, 5 innings: Crissy Colasurdo (triple, double) and Theresa Pittman both went 4-for-4 to pace the winners, while Katie Swanson went 3-for-4 and Betty May 3-for-5 with two doubles. Pitcher Michele Sweeney had two strikeouts for Ho-Beau’s Doug’s.
Paddy’s Pub 16,’s Pizza 4: Jess Hull and Lindy West both enjoyed 3-for-4 nights for Paddy’s Pub, while’s Pizza was led by Jamie Sage, who went 3-for-3.
Franklin Rock/Central City 7, Hairy Tony’s 3: Katrina Fox homered and doubled to lead the winners, who took the lead for good with a two-run third, and McKenna Riley added a triple.
Red Jug Pub 15, Gator’s Tavern/Cortland Self-Storage 9: Amanda Holley (double), Hollie Petrus and winning pitcher Rachel Scutt all went 4-for-4 for Red Jug Pub, while Allyson Barber’s 3-for-3 night paced Gator’s Tavern/Cortland Self-Storage.
One Cent Saloon 12, Night Owls 11: Jody Maroney went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and Holly Rickert was 3-for-3 to lead One Cent Saloon, which got 2-for-3 nights from Kaitlyn Apley, Jordan Price, Danielle Beebe and April Byers while Danielle Swarm and Kelly Pittsley both went 2-for-4 with three RBIs apiece. Mary Kate Boreland went 3-for-4 for Night Owls, while Nicole Meeker was 2-for-3 with a double.
Deli Downtown 8, Homer Logging 7: Marcy Griffin homered for Deli Downtown, while Megan Bogdan and Jenni DeWitt both tripled for Homer Logging.
