WXHC is all set for some football

WXHC (Oldies 101.5 FM) will offer plenty of football action this fall.On the heels of the recent announcement that the station will carry the full slate of New York Jets action this season, Oldies 101.5 has released its high school and collegiate broadcast schedule.
It all kicks off Sept. 3 as the Homer Trojans travel to Skaneateles to face the Lakers and new head coach Tim Green at 7 p.m. Tim and Jeff Guido enter their 11th season behind the microphones and will broadcast eight games. This is the 20th year for high school football on WXHC.
The college season begins the next day as the Syracuse Orangemen open the 2010 season at Akron. Selected SU games will be aired throughout the season.
The bulk of the college schedule will feature Bobby Comstock, Jr. and Bruce Eves broadcasting the full season of SUNY Cortland Red Dragons football. The local duo begin their fifth season together as Cortland High alumnus Dan Pitcher will likely return to quarterback the Red Dragons in their quest for the NJAC championship. The Red Dragons open their season Sept.11 in Union, NJ against Kean University in a 1 p.m. start.
