Randall racks up another 1st

CLINTON — Jenn Randall’s success story continues.
The Cincinnatus Central graduate, now a freshman cross country runner at Ithaca College, was the individual winner at Saturday’s Hamilton College Invitational in a time of 18:21.3, edging runner-up Patricia Roney from Queen’s (18:22.0) and beating the next-best Bombers finisher, 14th-place Melanie McCormick (19:19.9), by almost a minute.
In five events so far this fall, Randall has won twice and finished second twice.
Queen’s, from Kingston, Ont., won the team title at Hamilton with 20 points, Ithaca and Rochester tied for second with 75. The Bombers, ranked 24th nationally in the latest Division III poll, next compete in the Reif Invitational at Cornell Oct. 23.
