Youth hockey: Heritage Realty victorious

The Heritage Realty Pee Wee travel team won both their games this past weekend.
On Saturday, the Flames posted a 12-3 victory over visiting Camillus as Nick Gravel and Josh Cargen each had hat tricks. Cargen nailed down his hat trick with three goals and he assisted on three other goals. Gravel scored three goals and dished out two assists. Nate Evans, Trevor Jubran, Kevin Gardner, Adam Buttaccio, Lauren Swartz and Dante Patriarco chipped in with one goal each while Patriarco, Evans, Liam Chase, Dan Gallagher, Nick Perry and Caleb Erno added one assist each.
Nick Rogers made 16 saves for the Cortland.
On Sunday, Cortland recorded an 11-6 win over Salmon River. Liam Chase and Josh Cargen led the way with three goals each.Nick Gravel and Adam Jubron added two goals each with Lauren Swartz netting one goal. Nate Evans handed out four assists followed by Chase with two assists. Gravel, Swartz, Trevor Jubran and Dante Patriarco had one assist each. Nick Rogers (7 saves) and Adam Howser 7 saves) combined for 14 saves for the winners.
SNOWBELT SQUIRTS
The Computing Center Snowbelt Squirts split a pair of games this weekend losing to Onondaga 9-1 and beating Auburn 4-3.
Dakota Ayer scored the lone Cortland goal in Saturday’s loss to Onondaga. Andrew Partigianoni picked up an assist on the play. Riley Deluge recorded 19 saves in the Cortland goal.
Cortland bounced back with the 4-3 Sunday against visiting Auburn. Dakota Ayer and Ben McGrath led the winning effort with one goal and one assist each. Matthew Meagley and Braden Marsh netted the other Cortland goals with Abigail Villnave and Brian Tinker handed out one assist each. Andrew Kristof made 10 saves in the Cortland goal.
BANTAM TRAVEL
The Economy Paving Bantam Travel team suffering one loss and earned a tie in a pair of games against Onondaga this weekend. Onondaga won 5-0- Saturday, but the two teams played to a 3-3 draw in Sunday’s rematch in the Suit Kote Arena.
Brandon Ludwig was tested Saturday and made 23 saves for Cortland in the loss.
On Sunday, Cortland got balanced scoring as Jason Wojcinski, Jake Prunier and Dylan Cooper each netted one goal. P.J. Shager made 18 saves in the Cortland nets.
In a late report, Cortland lost 5-0 to visiting Elmira on Oct. 19 despite 41 saves by Shager.
