MERIHEW — Carl C. Merihew, 82, of McGraw, N.Y., died Oct. 30, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McGraw United Methodist Church, McGraw. Interment will be in McGraw Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Barth Funeral Home, McGraw.
SCHULTZ — Andrew “Gene” E. Schultz, 82, of Groton/Lansing, N.Y., died Oct. 29, 2009. Friends and family may call from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday until time of the memorial service with full military honors at 4 p.m. at the Wagner Funeral Home, located at the Family Service Center, 110 S. Geneva Street, Ithaca. Interment will be private.

CLOUGH — Charlene L. Clough, 53, of McGraw, N.Y., died Oct. 22, 2009. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Valley View Cemetery, South Otselic. Arrangements are entrusted to the K. L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus.
GOEHNER — Elmer Goehner, 83, of 133 Lake Road, Dryden, N.Y., died Oct. 29, 2009, at home surrounded by loving family members. A celebration of Elmer’s life will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, with the Rev. Alan Kinney officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
PIERCE — Aberta M. Pierce, 89, of McGraw, N.Y., died Oct. 19, 2009, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. A graveside ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the McGraw Rural Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be at noon at the McGraw Community Center. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus.


SHEARER — Jackson Jeffery Shearer, infant son of Douglas and Rebecca Thurston Shearer, died Oct. 22, 2009, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse N.Y. Services and burial are private.

BOSCH — Hagen Warner Bosch, 12, of Madison, Ala., died Oct. 24, 2009. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Visitation will follow later from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. Burial will be in New York.
EFIMENCO — Andrew Efimenco, 85, of Cortland, N.Y., died Oct. 26, 2009, at New York state Veterans Home in Oxford. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
MARKS — Shannon Marie Marks, 50, of Creek Lane, Ormond Beach, Fla., formerly of Cortland, N.Y., died Oct. 15, 2009. Services were held Oct. 20, 2009, at the Dale Woodward Funeral Home, 167 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hill, Fla.

BEAUMONT — Eleanor B. Beaumont, of Main St., Locke, N.Y., died Oct. 23, 2009, at home. Private (family) funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Shurtleff Funeral home, 103 Lincoln Ave., Groton. Interment will be in Groton Rural Cemetery. There are no public calling hours.
PURCELL — George “Alex” Purcell, 75, of Cortland, N.Y., died Oct. 24, 2009. Friends may call from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. Thereafter, a reception for family and friends will be held at the Purcell home. A private burial will be held at a later date at the West Homer Cemetery.
