Cortland County District Attorney
County Attorney Mark Suben, a Democrat, ousted one-term incumbent District Attorney David Hartnett, a Republican, with 54 percent of the vote. The tally as of Tuesday night was 9,626-8,236.
7th Ward Alderman
Chuck Hamilton, a Democrat, leads Tim Armstrong, a Republican, 369-352. With 31 affidavit ballots and at least 53 absentee ballots yet to be counted, the result is still in question.
