Figures were posted on the Cortland County Board of Elections Web site. They are unofficial and based only on ballots cast on voting machines.
Cortland County District Attorney
County Attorney Mark Suben, a Democrat, ousted one-term incumbent District Attorney David Hartnett, a Republican, with 54 percent of the vote. The tally as of Tuesday night was 9,626-8,236.
7th Ward Alderman
Chuck Hamilton, a Democrat, leads Tim Armstrong, a Republican, 369-352. With 31 affidavit ballots and at least 53 absentee ballots yet to be counted, the result is still in question.
