Bantam skaters get weekend split on ice

The Economy Paving Bantam Travel youth hockey team split a pair of weekend games, beating visiting Ithaca 4-1 on Saturday and losing to the host Utica Junior Comets 4-3 on Saturday.
Ben Gravel had a goal and an assist while Jason Wojcinski, Matt Gombas and Andrew Lynch had one goal each against Ithaca, goalie P.J. Shager with 25 saves. Jared Berry had a goal and two assists while Gravel and Matt Pelowski each scored once against Utica. Brandon Ludwig made 22 saves and Shager 15 in the visitors’ nets.
The Computing Center squad fell 5-4 at Thousand Islands and 5-2 at Whitestown over the weekend. Andrew Partigianoni had two goals and an assist while Dakota Ayer and Abigail Villnave scored once each against Thousand Islands. Riley Delage was in goal for the visitors, with no save total reported.
Partigianoni scored both goals and goalie Andrew Kristof made 16 saves against Whitestown.
The Heritage Realty team fell 6-5 at Oswego Saturday as Nate Evans scored twice, Nick Gravel had a goal and an assist and John Calabrese and Josh Cargen one goal each. Nick Rogers and Adam Howser combined for 10 saves in sharing the visitors’ goaltending duties.
The O’Connor & Kruman White squad beat host Skaneateles 8-7 Saturday as Delaney Ayer, Tyler Luckey, Liam O’Connor and T.J. Serkiz were the goal-scorers and goalie Dominic Jump made 18 saves. Luckey and Tyler Coffin were the goal-scorers and Jump stopped 15 shots Sunday in a 5-2 loss to visiting New Hartford.
The Traver Millwork Red team tied Ithaca 7-7 on Saturday as Hunter Everle, Padraic Andrews, Ryan Spalding and Tucker Gabriel were the goal-scorers and goalie Garrett Clark made 16 saves. Andrews, Everle and Aidan Farron scored goals in a 6-4 loss to New Hartford on Sunday, Clark stopping 46 shots.
