Pee Wees nip visitor

Goals by Ben Gravel and Matt Gombas lifted the Cortland Flames Pee Wee travel team to a 2-1 hockey victory over the visiting Binghamton Junior Senators on the day before Christmas.
Goalie P.J. Shager came up with 10 saves in goal as Cortland prevailed on the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex ice, allowing only a lone second period tally. Jackson Brazo picked up an assist for the winners.
The Cotland Flames were blanked by visiting Valley 5-0, Ryan Durand with a couple of unassisted goals to pace the winners. Elisabeth Evans turned away 25 shots in goal for Cortland.
