Deaths
ALLEN — Barbara Learn Allen, 91, died Jan. 31, 2010.
HALL — Harry J. Hall Sr., 72, of Cincinnatus, N.Y., died Feb. 6, 2010, at University Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Lucy’s Church. Burial will follow at Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
SIMS — Allen E. Sims, 92, of Spring Street Ext., Groton, N.Y., died Feb. 7, 2010, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Shurtleff Funeral Home. Spring interment will be in Groton Rural Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 103 Lincoln Ave., Groton from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
TIMMEL — Gertrude L. (Tormey) Timmel, formerly of Cortland, N.Y., died Feb. 4, 2010, in Newton, Mass. Funeral services were held in Massachusetts.
YACAVONE — Vesta “Vickie” Marie (Hines) Yacavone, 69, of Southbury, Conn., died Feb. 6, 2010, at Danbury Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Route 302, Bethel, Conn., at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

DORWARD — Raymond C. Dorward, 74, of DeRuyter, N.Y. died Feb. 5, 2010, at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home, DeRuyter. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
POSTMA — Frances ‘Feikje’ Postma, 83, of 700 County Road 25, and formerly of Houghton Hill Road, Homer, N.Y., died Feb. 5, 2010 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Dresserville Bible Baptist Church, Crofoot Road, Dresserville. Frances will be laid to rest in Atwater Cemetery, Homer, when weather permits. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
SUDBRINK — Thomas Dalton Sudbrink, 32, of Willet, N.Y., died Feb. 5, 2010, at the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Friends may call at K. L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Immediately following the calling hours, family and friends are invited to gather at the Willet Fire Station.
