BRONG — Ruth E. Brong, 81, formerly of 35 Homer Ave., Cortland, New York, died May 28, 2010, in the Cortland Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home.

COOK — Diane Marie Cook, 63, of Ithaca, New York, died May 23, 2010, unexpectedly at the Cayuga Medical Center. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Briggs Hall Memorial Home, 11 North Main St., Homer. A short funeral service will follow at the funeral home. A burial service will immediately follow at the Glenwood Cemetery in Homer.
DURHAM — George E. Durham, 85, of Homer, New York, died May 10, 2010, in the Cortland Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. In keeping with George’s wishes there will be no services.
HATHAWAY — Mildred I. Hathaway, 82, of DeRuyter, New York, died May 26, 2010, at the Cortland Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home, DeRuyter. Burial will be in Quaker Basin Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
REAGAN — Maryanne L. Reagan, 53, of Groton City Road, Groton, New York, died May 27, 2010, after an extended illness. A celebration of her life will be held at the Groton Rod and Gun Club at noon Saturday, where friends and family are invited to join and remember with fondness Maryanne’s life.
STILES — Barbara B. Stiles, 90, of South Otselic, New York, died May 27, 2010, at the Cortland Regional Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the South Otselic United Methodist Church. Burial will be in North Pitcher Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

ASKEW — Neil D. Askew, 81, of Marathon, New York, died May 25, 2010. Friends may call at St. Stephen’s Church from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Marathon Cemetery.

WETHERELL — Juanita Christina Wetherell, 80, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, formerly of Cortland, New York, died Dec. 30, 2009. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland.
WILLIAMS — George Ashley Williams II died May 24, 2010. Due to an illness in the family, a memorial celebration of George’s life will be held at a later date.
