Cutia’s rolls past foes

Jake Robillard hit for the cycle to power Cutia’s Pizza to a 19-1 win over Chug & Slug in a five-inning Jim Partigianoni Coed Slowpitch League softball contest on Saturday.
Robillard went 4-for-4 with a double, triple, home run and five RBIs for the winning cause.
Elsewhere, Cutia’s Pizza posted a 20-7 five-inning win over Brix, Gator’s Tavern eased by Easy Street 18-1 in a five-inning mercy rule rout and ABL Lumber doubled up Chug & Slug 12-6.
Cutia’s Pizza 19, Chug & Slug 1: Cutia’s broke a 1-1 tie with six runs in the top of the third inning and pulled away quickly.
Jeremy Devereese was a perfect 4-for-4 with three triples as part of the 22-hit Cutia’s attack. Tiffany Hubbard was also 4-for-4 with a double while Jim Hogan was the fourth player with a 4-for-4 game.
Cutia’s Pizza 20, Brix 7: Cutia’s scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and doubled the run production by the end of two innings in this victory.
Andrew Pierce led the attack as he went 3-for-3 with a double and home run. Tim Dovi added a 3-for-3 effort with two triples. Tony Phelps (double) and Chrissy Slater each added 2-for-2 outings for the winners.
Gator’s Tavern 18, Easy Street 1: Gator’s scored the opening nine runs and went on to dump Easy Street in five frames. Chris Beattie (2x3), Scott Knight (3x3) and Nate Krause (3x3) each homered for the winners. Beattie, Krause and Michelle Workman (2x3) drove in three runs apiece. Knight also doubled and tripled, while Pat Carrier was 2-for-2. Brian Dyer was 2-for-2 to lead Easy Street.
ABL Lumber 12, Chug & Slug 6: After two innings ABL Lumber held a 9-0 lead and coasted from there, banging out 17 hits. K. Rogers (4x4) hit two home runs and B.Soeffing (2x3) also went deep for the winners, who also got contributions from J. Robinson (2s3), R. Barber (2x3) and M. Stevens (2x4).

Natoli’s/Gator’s Still Perfect
Behind a 35-hit attack, Natoli’s/Gator’s Tavern remained unbeaten in the Bob Schlenker Over 35 Slowpitch League on Sunday, thumping Woodman’s Pub 30-5.
Six runs in the top of the first inning put Natoli’s/Gator’s in early control, eight-run outbursts int he third and fourth frames putting the game away. Home runs by J. Palmer, T. Boice and B. Hotchkiss were part of the offensive onslaught.
There was no word on the Red Dragon vs. Stone Lounge contest slated for Sunday.
