Ink'd, Central City both moving on

Ink'd and Central City have both advanced to the next round in Cortland Men's Slowpitch Softball League A Division playoffs.
Tim Metcalf was 3-for-3 and Ryan Briggs went 3-for-4 with a double as Ink'd posted a 12-3 victory over The Tavern A/Nick's Barber Shop in the rubber game of the series. Ink'd took the series two games to one.
Josh Bogdon hit for the cycle as Central City swept its best-of-three series 2-0 over Red Jug Pub with a 23-6 victory.
A DIVISION
Ink'd 12, Tavern A/ Nick's Barber Shop 3: Ink'd took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning and built a 10-0 cushion en route to the win.
Kirk Arnold (home run) and Josh Sutton (triple) swung 2-for-3 bats for Ink'd. Dan Briggs and Randy Phillips were each 2-for-4 with one double each.
Doug Adsit led Tavern/Nick's going 3-for-3. Luke Pederson and Greg Driscoll added a 2-for-3 efforts while Jake Robillard was 2-for-4.
Central City 23, Red Jug Pub 6: Bogdon went 4-for-5 with a double, triple and home run as Central City padded its 4-3 first-inning lead with five runs in the top of the second inning and seven more runs in the third.
Pat Casselberry also went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple and a home run for Central City. Dennis Hopkins was a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBIs and four runs scored with Brian Bangs pitching in at the plate going 4-for-5 with a double and four runs scored. Matt Rutkowski rounded out the attack going 3-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored.
Nate Leonard was 2-for-3 for Red Jug Pub. Steven Bradley helped out with his 2-for-4 effort with one double.
