SCANLAN — Lee “Grumpy” V.V. Scanlan, 72, of Pitcher, N.Y., died Nov. 27, 2010, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Milan, Ohio. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours or funeral service.

CARPENTER — Robert Stephen Carpenter, age 95, of Dryden, N.Y., died Nov. 25, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at The First Presbyterian Church of Dryden. Family will receive friends and family in the fellowship hall following the church service. Interment with military honors, provided by members of the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home Ritual Team, will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
